Our glamorous Merry Widow has lots of "joie de vivre" to enthrall the world. Her dress features a unique beading technique the Victorians would have loved. The bodice has a smooth layer of black sequins with black jet bead appliqués, black ribbons and roses. Delicate sequin sleeves with a beaded loop border and black tear shape beads are draped across the arms. The extravagant hat and elaborate parasol add to this extraordinarily appealing costume. As we try to do, there are no difficult stitches or hard to learn techniques. She makes a striking, beautiful costume presentation.
