P-100 - 1905 Garden Party Frock

It is hard to imagine that just 100 years ago lavishly attired ladies could be found drinking tea and playing garden games, such as croquet, at countryside manors. Our jeweled filet crochet Garden Party Frock captures the romance of those idyllic days. The costume features an extravagant paneled skirt in gossamer fine filet loops edged in a fancy pink sequin border. Pearls and exquisite beaded crochet fans and roses embellish each section. The skirt is created with 12 panels for extra fullness. The bodice is created with large puff sleeves and a square sequined sailor-style collar so popular in that Era. Her hat is a masterpiece of fine detailing with a substantial double layer brim featuring circles of sequins on both sides. A fabulous pearl tipped tulle frou, ostrich feathers and gauzy roses adorn the brim.
