Each Paradise pattern book is 8 1/2" x 11" with color front and back covers. Most books are 12 pages, some larger books are 16 pages to 28 pages. Books are mailed first class usually the same day. Shipping and handling fees are minimal. Our magnificent Crochet Collector Costumes for fashion dolls are authentic reproductions of historic period clothing from the French Revolution to the Victorian Era. About our Crochet Collector Costumes Each Paradise Publications Crochet Collector Costume is lovingly recreated from historic photos and books. Each pattern contains complete easy to follow instructions to create an authentic dress with several matching accessories. Accessories vary with each costume and will include several of the following - hat, gloves, handkerchief, parasol, purse, fan, mussie-tussie, bloomers, bouquet, veil, shoes or boots. Each book also includes instructions for a historic hair style. Only simple stitches are used in these easy to follow instructions. Even beginners can learn to make Paradise dolls. Our dresses are lavishly crocheted in lovely textured or lace patterns using only the most basic stitches for the look of real fabric or antique lace. Fabulous feathers, flowers, ribbons and trims give Paradise Costumes a unique, old-fashioned look. Each costume is beautifully finished with realistic details including adorable miniature buttons and buttonhole loops that really work. These explicit instructions will guide you every step of the way for professional results. You will learn fabulous new techniques such as crocheting with pearls and sequins, embroidering on single crochet stitches, making pom-pom edging, beaded Victorian fringe and tasseled fringe. You will improve your basic crochet skills and learn finishing techniques that will make your Paradise doll a showpiece everyone will admire. All of the patterns are created using ordinary bed spread weight (size 10) crochet cotton. Shimmering size 10 rayon can also be used for some patterns. Size 8 pearl cotton, size 20 cotton and chenille are used in small amounts to trim some dresses.
